Musical Chairs of our Children’s Resources

Musical Chairs of our Children’s Resources

Peak Oil occurs when worldwide production peaks and then decline at a similar rate to the rate of increase before the peak.
Peak Oil will cause a partial and lead to a complete failure of markets.
Peak Oil will be difficult to discern until production and markets clearly drop off and prices increase dramatically.
Peak Oil is inevitable and approximate to 2020. Blind Sight
Peak of oil discoveries occurred in 1965.
Peak oil production has surpassed oil discoveries every year since 1980.
The barrel of oil equivalent (BOE) is 5.8 × 106 BTU or 1.7 MWh.
The world will have to resurrect pre industrial revolution techniques in the absence of: Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Ethane (short-chain alkanes, butane, propane). Gasoline (Petrol). Diesel fuel (petrodiesel). Kerosene. Jet fuel. Petroleum coke (solid fuel). Fuel oils. Alkenes (all plastics). Lubricants (machine oils, motor oils, greases, and viscosity stabilizers). Paraffin wax (packaging of frozen foods, among others). Sulfur (industrial materials, sulfuric acid, batteries). Electrodes (rods, electrochemical cells). Bulk tar (most roofing materials). Asphalt (binder for gravel to concrete paving roads, lots, etc). Petrochemicals Agricultural (nearly all pesticides and most fertilizers). Petrochemicals Industrial (dyes, detergents, antiknock additives, oxygenates, and anti-fungal compounds). Petrochemicals Commercial (alpha-olefins, dienes, oleumls, elastomers, Kevlar, monomers, nylons, filter fibers, solvents surfactants, pharmaceuticals, etc).
There are a few extra problems for our children enhancing the global economic meltdown attributed to the escalating gas prices of Peak Oil.
Now 15 trillion debt / 90 million tax payers = ?
Projection 2020 25 trillion debt / 100 million tax payers = ?
Currently 80% depletion of minerals, drinking water, trees, rain forest, habitat, fish, animal and plant species, and all other natural resources.
Perhaps 2012 could be the year we wake up to the responsibility of our inevitable end of musical chairs where each generation is another musical verse and we continue the methodical theft of another chair of our children’s resources.

Resource Conservation

Resource Conservation

In comprehension of my disappointment of our current resource conservation I see it is stymied by the inertia of consumerization, convenience, lack of concern, and ignorance and like all maters of unprovoked effort unlikely to inspire any personal action.

I have long ago retired and taken a quest of rest and relaxation and continue to enjoy and get away with it. Having nothing good to say I say nothing at all and unable to return necessary to nature I remain still and calm and consume little. I live to love and learn. In the name of progress our children’s environment is being sacrificed, discarded, plundered, wasted, and ravaged through an out of control consumer society, ornate religious convictions, and a government strangled by capitalism.

Had I not enlisted in the ASA, served in Vietnam, and privy to top secret information I would still imagine War was about Freedom and Democracy. I would think only Germany was War for profit, washbrained and lied to its people, declared war under false pretences, and murdered women and children excused as end justifying the means. I live the Vietnam War all over again and again and we the people never learn to have concern or seek the truth or ask why. For whatever reason I was spared the ignorance and know the symbolic meaning of the miracle of the blind given sight. It is that line of sight that has separated me from the heard and allowed me insight of deception.

Resources are depleted and currently my granddaughters are $250,000 in IRS (national debt / tax payers) debt and more by the time they get working papers. And what pray tell do you expect of them. Simply put Fossil fuel, environment, and economic stability are tied together and running out world wide. Consider this gasoline is cheaper than bottled water now and without teaching economics 101 let me ask you how much the last barrel of oil or gallon of gas in 2050 will sell for. Can you not imagine for one moment paying $20 for a gallon of gas in 2020 when the demand outpaces the supply and how that alone would change you and your world economic environment if it happened today.

Hello economics is not economical, society is not social, democracy is not democratic, but as long as it is feasible, profitable, and most of all convenient for most we follow the crowd and pretend. Everyone seems to be in lala land and most are by nature Bush phenomenon and Religious rightchousness proves that point. Let me put it this way you live large like you have all the answers and solutions and you bet your children’s future on it and so just like you do for religion and flag you are killing in the name of. You give to your children and steel from your grandchildren with the same stupid smile on your face. It would not surprise me if I lived long enough to see the slaughter of the lambs as today’s wildebeest society bewildered in video time-lapse propaganda diversion techniques are being sidestepped by monopolies and captivated in debit disorientation. They will not fair well waiting on the soup lines for time has become so important in maters of trivial pursuits. Pentium powered nanoseconds of impatience but time flies the same path regardless and it is just a question of time verses environmentally sustainable of middleclass chattel remaining conveniently suitable for corporate profits.

Energy in of itself is not a problem (E = MC. MC.) it’s the greedy way it is consumed and societies ability to point the finger, join the club, and look the other way. Some strange comfort derived from following the crowd to the poles, to church, and to hell if you ask me. Perhaps as we see fit not to imagine caring about the worlds poor even in our own country and our children’s children eventually kayos for the whole wide world is a fitting finally. I only wish you will live to encounter the consequences.

I am of spiritual unity temporally separated with body and do not have faith in you, your personal God, country, or for a positive outcome for future generations. In spite of the gloom and doom I enjoy family, friends, simplicity, science, tranquility, writing, and talents. I do squeak with effort to oil the wheels of vision and believe in maters that awaken sinful obliviousness to it all.

Whether I meet my perceptive maker or simply shed my earthly skin to singularity remains to be seen. I decide the path of my destiny and as for my fatality I am prepared, fortunate, fulfilled, undaunted, and I preciously prize the puzzle solved. I’ve danced with the devil, been saved by the angels, entered my flesh, spread the miracle of life, and except the reality of health and death without remorse and in good conscience.

Are You Listening?

Are You Listening?

Mother Nature speaks louder and clearer than ever

Not just in this list of natural disasters but weather in general. We have deserts getting flooded, wetlands drying out, and record breaking cold and hot temperatures, precipitation and snow accumulations, and heat waves all over the globe and world weather anomalies on a regular basis. We have had global warming since the last ice age but I find this world wide weather pattern and multitude of natural disasters alarming.

Anthropomorphizing

Anthropomorphizing for nothing else will do

Imagine that you are an ape-man and you hear a rustle in the grass. If you take cover assuming a rustle in the grass is a dangerous predator and it is just the wind, you have made a no harm error and the natural choice because if you chance the rustle is just the wind when it is a dangerous predator, you have made a fatal error and thereby removed yourself from your species' gene pool (Dodo bird). Species survival and evolution would dictate the fear of the unknown and decisions based on a worst of two evils scenario. There was a natural selection for hominids that tended to believe that all patterns are real and potentially dangerous. This is the natural basis for the acceptance of angels, demons, ghosts, souls, spirits, intelligent designers, and all manner of invisible agents intending to harm us or help us. Now as large-brained hominids with a developed cortex, we have the capacity to be aware of such mental states as desires and intentions in both ourselves and others, and thusly equipped with our mystical sixth sense. We commonly "read minds" by projecting ourselves into someone else's shoes (as in pain and empathy) or by imagining someone is out to get us (as in fear or jealousy). By the way mystical perception exaggeration is easy, very profitable, but socially destructive.

Now we are using primitive tools and mindset to accelerate another mass extinction on our sacred planet in defiance of Mother Nature. Worst case in the wake of our demise new life forms will evolve as did after super volcanoes and asteroid impacts. The earth is at half-life and will survive the human parasite outbreak and given the time line and our track record a man made global disaster to our demise is plausible. Think about it, banks rely on the economy, countries rely on banks, and the economy relies on all natural resources. In simple terms you first?

At the same time we still make hominid decisions like propagating patented capricious seeds engineered for profit by monopolies and a “grain famine” could spread globally and exponentially. What goes around comes around and how ironic that mom would use the Greed Seed to thin out the herd. Keep in mind just like the war profit process there is much more wealth to share for the purveyors and survivors of catastrophe.

I rather thought Mother Nature was taking care of herself between ice-ages with the extreme atmospheric oscillation that eventually would cause the same global “grain famine” or be assisted by a magnetic reversal or celestial awareness like another earth bound Sun’s Solar flair that would eliminate a country’s power grids. Yes 10 days of hunger and you too will look like food. It could be a simple chain reaction of one tree too few, a bug, a flu, or any of our many extinct nothing else’s will do.

We are all by nature the loggers, minors, warriors, and purveyors in one way or another that is supporting extinction no lie no way out.

In the motivation of guilt perhaps I should take interest in balance on such high stakes mater. Now I have acted by commenting something about ecology. Should I dare wish to do something?

My wish is to be part of an effort to clean up the North Pacific Ocean garbage patch. The USA sized thermally blanketed plastic oil slick of poison is churning around constantly and some of the 50 year old plastic is slowly ground down in size to problematic poisonous plankton pellet for whales of crude oil and mayhem on birds and fish alike. We are consuming the very plates we ate from in early days of our disposable decadence.

How about a plastic solar powered, floating recycle plant?
